Sir William Bot (Trading Compass) Review – Scam or Legit?

Is the Sir William Bot binary options auto-trading software a scam, or is it legit? Today’s focus is, as you can see from the title, referred to by two different names – “Sir William” and “Trading Compass” – and why this is I’ll get into later. Whichever you prefer to call it, it is presented to us by John Burley, a call centre salesman turned trader who used broking as a supplement for his income up until the financial crash. After spending a while at rock bottom, he bumped into a schoolmate who told him about “Sir William”, and how he could help get him back on his feet.

Names are not the only thing that “Sir William” has more than usual of. There are two sites and three videos, as well; I’m under the impression that the second is only supposed to be accessed upon entering your email on the first, as it has the URL extension “congrats.php”, yet searching for the software returns a result for both sites.

They are, at least, consistent; that is to say, consistently mediocre. Both feature all of my pet peeves – the false counter for number of spots remaining that starts at 23 or so and amusingly restarts when it hits two, the address bar dialogue box (the most heinous of all pop-ups), way too many sign-up buttons (five of them on the second page), and fake, rather badly worded testimonials. The first site also features a surprisingly blunt disclaimer to the effect of “we’re probably lying about our income claims and there’s nothing you can do about it” – if that doesn’t ring alarm bells, I don’t know what will. You may also notice that I’ve yet to say how much cash Sir William is promising you, and that’s because they don’t, not in text, though there are a few ambiguous account balances in one of the videos.

The videos are all mercifully short, with the two on the “congrats” page featuring full media controls whilst the first offers none at all – maybe you’re not worthy until Sir William has your email. The first one is largely a sob story about John losing his job, nearly losing his wife, and being thankful that the “nerd” he bullied in school didn’t bear a grudge. The second one tells us what “Sir William” is all about, and in a twist that M. Night Shyamalan would be proud of, it is revealed that Sir William is not a person at all, but the nickname that John’s school buddy gave to the software that he created, which is herein referred to as the “Trading Compass”.

The third one tells us how to use the Trading Compass, and here is where I found the last nail in Sir Billy’s coffin. The man presenting this video has previously been employed to present a different auto-trader that we’ve covered. After this, of course, I couldn’t really care less how it works, not least because this man has already told me how a different piece of garbage works and they’re effectively to the tune of “push the magic auto-trade button” anyway. This only serves to reinforce what I’ve said before; recycling the same handful of actors from Fiverr.com completely shatters any illusion of truth that scams like the Trading Compass here might attempt to create, for both pieces of software that the actor is “promoting”. They’re counting on you only seeing the actor once, which is exactly why they’re so easy to discredit when you’ve seen them in several places. You don’t need a compass to know to stay away from this one.

If you are looking for trustworthy and profitable software, then take a look at Traders Revenge or the OptionRobot; both with over 80% ITM trades. Our current favourite piece of software is TrendXpert; this is a trend indicator for manual trading which also offers live training. All of these have proven to be profitable for us.
